When Ariel contacted me wanting to get maternity photos, I was thrilled! I had met her through a mutual friend and knew we were going to have a blasty blast on our shoot! I excitedly started planning the session and when Ariel mentioned she wanted water and mountains in her shoot, I knew EXACTLY where to go!

There is something so amazing about motherhood. Having the opportunity to photograph someone during this time in their life, is an hour. This shoot was EXCEPTIONALLY special. The sun was setting on Mother’s Day, and I got to capture this stunning woman and soon to be mom for the first time! I guess I mean, first-time mom to a human. 😉

What a perfect orchard and day for such a special shoot. ❤️

3 months later at 40 weeks pregnant, we shot again and the light was pure magic!

Dino & Aurea | Harvest Golf Club Wedding

I don’t even know where to begin with this amazing day! Just writing this blog post makes me smile from reliving this magical day. Surprise birthday party, proposal and wedding all in one!

Dino contacted me about two weeks prior to the day, to ask me to photograph this amazing surprise. uhhmmmmm hell yes! How could I say no? He told me that he was going to ask his lady to marry him and assuming she said yes, the wedding would happen right after. Aurea’s daughters were in on the whole day from keeping her busy all day at the spa, to buying her dress.

When I arrived at the Harvest golf club I could feel the excitement and pure joy on everyone’s face. We waited out on the back deck, awaited the arrival of Aurea. As she walked out, you could see the shock on her face as everyone broke into song singing Happy Birthday.

As she was watching everyone sing, Dino made his move. He snuck behind her and dropped to one knee, surprise number 2.

She said yes!

Then he whispered surprise number 3 to her….. they were getting married right then and there and everyone was there for the wedding! Aurea had the best range of facial expressions! I couldn’t narrow them down to just a few photos.
It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day for a sunny Okanagan wedding. The plan was flawless, just like the stunning bride.

Ana & Roger | Vancouver Maternity Photographer

Back in the spring of 2014 I met this gorgeous energetic lady during a shoot with Piyan Designs. About a year later, I was absolutely delighted when I found out she was expecting her first little one and wanted me to do her maternity photos! I can’t even explain how exciting it is when a previous client comes back to have me document such an important milestone. We met up in Stanley Park and made our way down to Second Beach, where we wrapped up the shoot on the beach with a gorgeous sunset. What could be better than a stunning mommy-to-be on the beach with amazing light?! As we met because of a shoot with Ana’s friend, Miriam of Piyan Designs, its only seemed fitting to incorporate some pieces into the shoot. Even though this shoot is all about the love of the baby belly, we managed to get Roger into some photos as well!

Congratulations Ana & Roger! I cannot wait to meet your baby girl!

This moment was too funny not to share. At one point while Ana was switching out her outfits, the geese decided to get in on it! Too funny!

Little Family | Snowy Kelowna Maternity

When Mandy booked me for her maternity photos she said “I would really like to do the shoot in the snow”. Luckily, we got some snow but it wasn’t on the day we had planned for our shoot. A few messages later, we had hair, make-up and location all narrowed down for the shoot!! A huge thank you to McMillan Farm and an even bigger thank you to Ron for driving us out to the back field and assisting me by holding an umbrella over me while I was shooting!

Mandy & Hugh, I cannot wait to meet your baby girl! I’m sure you two will make an adorable baby!
This shoot wouldn’t have been complete without a snowball fight! I mean, who could resist?!
