Kat & Manos | Okanagan Anniversary Session

Ever since I ventured up the mountains around Kelowna, I have been obsessed with shooting there! Three years ago when my cousin and her husband were getting married, I envisioned taking photos of them overlooking the city in magical golden hour light. However on their wedding day in 2017, wildfire smoke filled the air, so we decided to use a different location. This year, they decided to move out of the Okanagan Valley. I had no intention of letting them leave Kelowna without taking these photos.

We brought some drinks for a long-overdue celebration, on the mountain top. Cheers to their three year anniversary, Kat’s recent graduation, and to their new adventure in Alberta. The sky definitely delivered!

I truly believe to capture a beautiful photo, you have to be doing something fun. Let your true self show in the photos and going on an adventure always helps!

Mikael & Kristine | Backyard Elopement Wedding

It’s always extra special to document and capture elopements. They feel so personal which helps me get to know the family and create magic. So many people have had to cancel, reschedule or alter their wedding plans greatly in the past year, no exception for these two. When Mikael contacted me to shoot their plan C wedding and I was thrilled! I love it when the groom gets involved with wedding planning.

Even though Mikael & Kristine had to adjust their wedding plans TWICE, they opted to officially get married this year to start their journey together. A handful of friends and family even joined in during a live Zoom stream.

When Ariel contacted me wanting to get maternity photos, I was thrilled! I had met her through a mutual friend and knew we were going to have a blasty blast on our shoot! I excitedly started planning the session and when Ariel mentioned she wanted water and mountains in her shoot, I knew EXACTLY where to go!

Kristal | Maternity Session | Kelowna Maternity Photographer

There is something so amazing about motherhood. Having the opportunity to photograph someone during this time in their life, is an hour. This shoot was EXCEPTIONALLY special. The sun was setting on Mother’s Day, and I got to capture this stunning woman and soon to be mom for the first time! I guess I mean, first-time mom to a human. 😉

What a perfect orchard and day for such a special shoot. ❤️

3 months later at 40 weeks pregnant, we shot again and the light was pure magic!

Michael & Shelley | Twin Lakes Keremeos Wedding

I’m finally getting caught up on posting some of the weddings I shot from last year. Last year was full of amazing couples and beautiful weddings. Summer weddings are always gorgeous, but are they ever HOT! That was no exception for Michael and Shelley’s backyard wedding. Oh, what a beautiful (and HOT) day it was for an Okanagan summer wedding. Michael and Shelley’s wedding was held at the bride’s mothers house in Twin Lakes, Keremeos surrounded by family and friends. It was absolutely stunning. Backyard weddings feel comfortable. They feel intimate and they always feel like a lot of fun!
