Kat & Manos | Okanagan Anniversary Session

Ever since I ventured up the mountains around Kelowna, I have been obsessed with shooting there! Three years ago when my cousin and her husband were getting married, I envisioned taking photos of them overlooking the city in magical golden hour light. However on their wedding day in 2017, wildfire smoke filled the air, so we decided to use a different location. This year, they decided to move out of the Okanagan Valley. I had no intention of letting them leave Kelowna without taking these photos.

We brought some drinks for a long-overdue celebration, on the mountain top. Cheers to their three year anniversary, Kat’s recent graduation, and to their new adventure in Alberta. The sky definitely delivered!

I truly believe to capture a beautiful photo, you have to be doing something fun. Let your true self show in the photos and going on an adventure always helps!

Mikael & Kristine | Backyard Elopement Wedding

It’s always extra special to document and capture elopements. They feel so personal which helps me get to know the family and create magic. So many people have had to cancel, reschedule or alter their wedding plans greatly in the past year, no exception for these two. When Mikael contacted me to shoot their plan C wedding and I was thrilled! I love it when the groom gets involved with wedding planning.

Even though Mikael & Kristine had to adjust their wedding plans TWICE, they opted to officially get married this year to start their journey together. A handful of friends and family even joined in during a live Zoom stream.

Dakota & Erick | Okanagan Fall Couples Session

One of the biggest compliments is when past clients and fellow photographers refer their friends to me!!! I was nervous meeting Dakota and Erik, as we had already rescheduled twice because of the weather, and I was worried it was going to happen again. LUCKILY, the weather played nice, and did it ever play nice! About halfway through our shoot the clouds parted and gave us such incredible light!

This was one of my favourite shoots this fall! I had an absolute blast capturing these two and all their quirky love for one another.

Amanda & Braden | Knox Mountain Engagement Session

Last summer I met the the most adorable little family!

Amanda and Braden brought the whole family for their shoot, including their dogs, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled! Knox mountain is one of my favorite spots to shoot in the downtown area. Mountain and city views and dog friendly, it never disappoints!

I adored meeting these two and could’ve photographed them forever!

Alison & Chris | Prince George Engagement Photographer

In September during my road trip to Northern B.C., Alison and Chris were the 2^nd stop on my trip. I had been to Prince George many times but this would be my first time doing photos here and I was excited to see what locations they had chosen. As we arrived at our first location, Alison told me that this place was special to them. This is where they had their first date! It means SO much to me that they took me to a spot that meant so much to them both!

I met Alison about 5 years ago through some mutual friends and had heard her talk about how she couldn’t wait to meet the perfect guy. About 2 years ago, she moved up to Prince George and ended up meeting Mr. Perfect. I was excited when she said she was bringing her man down to Kelowna to meet us all. I was THRILLED to find out he had popped the question!
We took our time during their shoot, wondering around Connaught hill hearing stories about their first dates and the significance of the single rose that he brought for her on their first dates. I loved getting to know Chris better and watching Alison light up when he talked about their life together. For our second location we headed over to Cottonwood Park, where they had had their second date!

I could go ON and ON about these two! How hard they laughed together, how sweet they are, how they’re always holding hands and how they steal kisses from each other whenever possible!

Thank you so so much for an AMAZING night!! I had such an amazing time and it meant so much to me that you showed me your first date location!! I cannot wait to watch you two get married in 2017!
